Canadian Museum of Nature announces reopening as province set to ease COVID-19 restrictions

By Dani-Elle Dubé

After weeks of being closed to the public, the Canadian Museum of Nature has been able to reschedule a reopening date.

In an announcement released on Friday, January 21, the museum said it will reopen its doors on Wednesday, February 2 as restrictions imposed by the Ontario government start to lift.

The museum will continue to have reduced capacity according to the latest guidelines.

All visitors aged 12 and older are required to show proof of vaccination (with a valid QR code) and identification.

Enhanced measures and modified procedures will continue to ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff, the museum said.

These include time-online (is this right?) ticketing, wearing of mandatory masks, physical distancing and directional signage.

Hours of operation are Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with an extended free period Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
