A staff member at Vanier’s Centre d’accueil Champlain has tested positive for COVID-19.

The news came via a memo to city council members from Donna Gray, general manager of community and social services.

The home has been placed on outbreak.

Peter D. Clark and Garry J. Armstrong remain on outbreak, with one positive case and two positive cases among staff, respectively.

Preventative measures in place include residents remaining in isolation, ensuring all staff wear PPE and disinfecting all work areas, among others.

Designated caregivers can still visit the homes, however, additional measures have been put in place to allow this to happen.

This is the fourth outbreak status the home has been under since May 2. The last outbreak for the home had ended on February 2.
