Charges laid, drinks poured out in pre- and post-Panda Game celebrations

Ottawa police officers sent a lot of booze into the sewers, Saturday, in the hours before, during and after this year's annual Panda Game.

Police say that officers ordered more than 1,600 drinks to be poured out, in and around the Glebe and Sandy Hill.

Officers also laid 42 alcohol-related charges.

The sold-out game at TD Place Stadium pitted Carleton University against uOttawa for the panda trophy. The uOttawa Gee-Gees won the game.
