City of Gatineau extending pool and beach hours over first weekend of August

With hot and humid temperatures expected for the first weekend of August, the City of Gatineau is extending outdoor and wading pool hours, as well as beach times to help residents cool off.  

The following will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7:

  • Piscine et Pataugeoire Fontaine – located at 120, Rue Charlevoix, secteur de Hull
  • Piscine Sauvageau –  located at 179 Rue Mutchmore in Hull
  • Piscine Laurent-Groulx – located at 1 Rue Lévesque in Hull
  • Piscine Desjardins – located at 1 Rue Goyette in Hull
  • Piscine La Vérendrye – located at 730 Rue Main in Gatineau
  • Piscine Jack-Eyamie – located at 40 Rue du Bassin in Masson-Angers
  • Plage du Parc des Cèdres – located at 15 Rue Raoul-Roy in Aylmer
  • Plage du Parc Moussette – located at 361 Boulevard Lucerne in Hull
  • Plage du Parc du Lac-Beauchamp – located at 741 Boulevard Maloney Est in Gatineau

Environment Canada is stating the forecast is calling for a high of 31 C on August 6 and August 7 in Gatineau, and the humidex will make it feel more like 40 C.
