Community steps up to support Orléans food truck following generator theft

By Alex Black

An outpouring of community support has helped a popular Orléans food truck get back to business following a theft.

On Friday, May 7, the owners of the Stoked Food Truck reported that their storage shed had been broken into and that several items had been stolen, including a generator.

In a post on social media, owner Matt Robitaille said the theft and the closure of non-essential stores left them unable to quickly replace the equipment, meaning they were unable to reopen for business.

At that point, the owner of La Ha Tacos came up with an idea.

“La Ha Tacos across the street, the owner J, offered to do a little charity taco for us,” said Robitaille. “They ended up raising over $750 with this little collaboration taco that they did, to help pay for a new generator.”

Also, when the community heard about what happened, Robitaille says they came out in droves to order food and show their support.
