The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is the only health unit to report fewer new cases than the day before, to three from five.

Public Health Ontario is reporting a decrease in cases on Sunday to 784 from Saturday’s 857. This is following two days of reporting numbers in the 800s.

This brings the total number of cases since the pandemic started to 574,619.

However, in the last 24 hours, 738 cases have resolved.

Of the newly reported cases on Sunday, about 61 per cent are among unvaccinated people while about 23 per cent were among fully vaccinated individuals. About eight per cent of new cases include people who are partially vaccinated, with about 7.8 per cent of people whose vaccination status is unknown.

Four deaths were recorded, however, two of the deaths happened more than a month ago and were added to the cumulative count based on data cleaning.
