Crews quickly extinguish east end kitchen fire

One person had to be treated for smoke inhalation during an east end fire.
Around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, fire crews responded to several 911 calls reporting smoke coming from 718 Carsons Road, Unit A.
The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the kitchen area of the unit.
Five people, including a baby, have been displaced and are staying with family.
The person treated for smoke inhalation was treated on scene and released.
