Crews quickly knock down basement fire in Old Ottawa South

There are no injuries after a basement fire in Old Ottawa South.
Around 3:15 p.m. Monday, fire crews responded to a call reporting smoke in the basement at 167 Aylmer Road.
A working fire was declared when crews arrived on scene.
The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes and the basement was ventilated.
A fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause.
The Canadian Red Cross is assisting those affected by the fire.
