Driver facing multiple charges after RIDE check in Russell County

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop in Russell County. 

Members of the Russell County OPP discovered cannabis products, a bong and unmarked cigarettes in a pickup truck while conducting a 'Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere' (RIDE) check this week. 

The driver was arrested on a warrant and also faces the following charges:

  • Cannabis readily available
  • Driving while suspended
  • Unauthorized plate
  • Possession of unmarked cigarettes
