Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in South Dundas

One person has been killed in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in South Dundas.

Members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene in the eastbound lanes around 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 21.

The initial investigation shows an eastbound passenger vehicle left the roadway, for reasons unknown at this time, and rolled over in the ditch.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and their name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Motorists are asked to slow down in the area.
