Embrun teen charged with careless driving after crashing into home

An 18-year-old has been charged with careless driving after crashing into a home in Embrun over the weekend. 

The OPP and the Embrun Fire Department responded to the collision on Maheu Street Sunday morning at 6 a.m. 

Police say the vehicle was travelling westbound on Castlebeau Street when the driver lost control of the car and collided with the house. The front-end of the car crashed through the wall of the home, above a bed in the basement. 

The driver of the vehicle, Eden Nymaway Francoeur Nimmo of Embrun was taken to hospital with minor injuries. 

There are no other injuries relating to the incident.
