Emergency crews help free person’s hand from bread baking machine at east end business

Emergency crews helped an individual who had their hand stuck in a bread baking machine at a business in the Orléans area on August 5.
In a tweet, the Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said it took more than an hour to free the person's hand.
The victim suffered serious injuries in the incident at Jeanne D'Arc Boulevard, between Orléans Boulevard and Millwood Court.
Emergency crews responded to a call at 11:13 a.m. and the hand was freed from the machine at 12:36 p.m. The person was transferred into the care of paramedics.

Paramedics told CityNews Ottawa that the person was a man in his 20s and is in hospital with hand and finger injuries and is in serious but stable condition.
