Emergency crews on scene in Dunrobin area after storm

Four people are in serious condition after Ottawa Paramedics say they suffered traumatic injuries in Friday’s storm, which ripped through Dunrobin.
Two others are in hospital with minor injuries.
Ottawa paramedics initially responded to 16 'tornado-related' calls in the immediate aftermath of the storm which blew through the area around 5 p.m., Friday, before making its way across the Ottawa River and into Gatineau.
Paramedics reported patients trapped in houses, people trapped in basements, trapped in cars, power lines down, trauma from debris and secondary trauma from high winds.
A caller to the 1310 NEWS newsroom reported houses destroyed, just north of the Dunrobin Plaza.
A tornado warning was issued for Ottawa and the surrounding areas late Friday afternoon. It has since ended.
