The main building at a Quebec waterpark and ski resort was damaged in an early morning fire that happened over the weekend.
MRC des Collines police and the Gatineau Fire Department were called out to Mont Cascades in Cantley Sunday at about 7:30 a.m..
When crews arrived, they confirmed the fire in the main chalet.
Gatineau firefighters battled the blaze and eventually had it under control.
An employee suffered minor irritation from the smoke, but crews reported no injuries.
The resort will be closed for the week and the park said Sunday night that they hope to have a concrete reopening plan in place by Friday, August 6.
The cause of the fire is unknown but Mont Cascade said in a post on Facebook that it's being considered as an electric failure.
