One person is being treated by Ottawa paramedics after being trapped under a forklift which tipped over at a work site on Leitrim Road.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received a call about the situation at 2:54 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12.
The first crew to arrive on scene confirmed someone was in fact trapped under a forklift and was still conscious at 3:02 p.m.
Firefighters began cribbing the forklift to keep it stabilized, while the second crew used lifting bags from an OFS heavy rescue truck to start lifting the forklift off of the person.
Both crews continued cribbing the vehicle to keep it stabilized as it was lifted.
The person was freed at 3:29 p.m. and transferred to the care of the Ottawa Paramedic Service. There's been no word from paramedics about the patient's condition.
