Firefighters respond to shed fire in west end

A west end shed caught on fire in the early hours of July 22 and spread to a home, but luckily everyone made it out safely.

Ottawa Fire Services received a call around 2:30 a.m. indicating a fire on Starwood Road in the area of Baseline Road and Merivale Road.

There was heavy fire in the attic of the bungalow. The occupants and their pets made it out safely.

A fire investigator has been called to the scene to determine the cause.
