Fleeing vehicle strikes utility pole in Vanier

At approximately 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning, an Ottawa Police officer attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle near Montreal Rd., but the vehicle fled.
It collided with a utility pole, knocking out power in the area for about an hour.
The occupants in the vehicle were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The Special Investigations Unit will be investigating the incident.
