Four new COVID-19 deaths in Ottawa; 23 new cases city-wide

Ottawa Public Health continues to see steady decline in most key indicators of local COVID-19 transmission.

Ottawa Public Health is reporting another four deaths due to COVID-19 in the city, but just 23 new cases of the virus, locally.

Of the 25 institutions listed on OPH's outbreak dashboard, seven of them have reported at least one death linked to the novel coronavirus.

The city's overall pandemic death toll is up to 372.

There are still two community outbreaks of COVID-19 being tracked by OPH: one stems from a social event, while the other is within a community organization.

Manordale Public School is declaring an outbreak, after three students tested positive for COVID-19.

Most key indicators of local COVID-19 transmission continue to drop on Wednesday, November 25, as OPH says active cases are now down to 287. Hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are down to 22 in Ottawa, with just one patient in intensive care.

There have now been 8,254 lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city since March, with 7,595 of them resolved.
