The Confederation Line was slow going on Friday morning after a couple of issues caused significant delays.

On Twitter, commuters reported that the first train leaving Blair station just after 5 a.m. was stalled and then sent back to the station due to switching issues.

Several transit users were bused to St Laurent station to help avoid overcrowding at Blair station.

A short time later, OC Transpo tweeted about issues with the train doors at Lees Station.

The issues caused long delays for all LRT users on Friday morning and prompted some tweets from councillors, Transit Commissioners and riders alike.

OC Transpo thanked riders for their patience.

Three hours after the first issue, OC Transpo announced that full service had resumed.

The Trillium Line also had it's share of issues as well, thanks to a branch on the tracks.

Mayor Jim Watson took to Twitter to express his frustration with the system, vowing to get answers.

A special meeting of the Transit Commision will be held on November 6, which is expected to include a full update from Transit boss John Manconi.
