Ottawa's Garry J. Armstrong long-term care home's COVID-19 count has gone up after another staff member has tested positive for the virus.
According to a city memo sent out by Donna Gray, general manger of community and social services, to council members Wednesday afternoon, the long-term care home now has three positive cases among its staff.
There are still no positive resident cases reported, however.
The home remains on a facility-wide outbreak.
Other city-run long-term care home still active with cases include Carleton Lodge in Heart’s Desire near Barrhaven with one staff cases and Vanier’s Centre d’accueil Champlain with five staff cases.
Staff are working with Ottawa Public Health to ensure that appropriate testing takes place.
Staff, residents and family members have already been informed of the new case.
