Ottawa gas prices are expected to see a 7 cent increase on Sunday, August 7.
According to En-Pro, prices are expected to go up by midnight to $1.669 cents/litre from the current $1.599 cents/litre, the lowest it's been in four months.

Gas prices in the National Capital Region peaked at a record-high of $2.159 cents/litre in June.
The Ford government implemented a cut of the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre in Ontario on July 1, and prices dropped 11 cents on that day.
