Gatineau police search for man in 30s missing since last week

Gatineau police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man whose last known location was in the Hull district of Gatineau.

Marc-Antoine Matteau, 30, was last seen on Tuesday, June 7 shortly after 1:30 p.m. when a friend dropped him off on Promenade du Portage, not far from the intersection of Aubry Street.

He was believed to be meeting other friends in that area.

Police and his family have reason to fear for his health and safety and want to ensure his well-being.

Matteau is about 5’6” tall and has brown hair and eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue cotton sweater, blue jeans and sports shoes.

Matteau usually travels on foot and could carry a backpack with his and another green “armoured” style bag.
