Leeds, Grenville and Lanark County District Health Unit leads in third dose protection across Ontario

According to updated data from Public Health Ontario, a local health unit is leading the way when it comes to third dose protection against COVID-19 across the province. 

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark County District Health Unit has seen 72.41 per cent of its residents receive a third COVID-19 vaccine, followed by the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Public Health at 71.32 per cent.

Ottawa Public Health rounds out the top three, with 68.73 per cent of residents receiving a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 

All Ottawa adults aged 18 and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 bivalent vaccine, which targets Omicron variants of COVID-19.
