Line 1 O-Train service to be shut down for part of weekend

By Mike Vlasveld

Ottawa's light rail transit (LRT) will be completely replaced by bus services for the second half of this weekend.

The line will shut down at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, and pick back up on Monday at 5 a.m.

The city announced on June 14 that it was making service adjustments due to Rideau Transit Group (RTG) undertaking remediation and maintenance work.

From June 17 to June 30, the city's O-Train Line 1 service has been and is ending each night at 7 p.m., resuming at its normal time the following morning (5 a.m. on weekdays, 6 a.m. on Saturdays and 8 a.m. on Sundays).

Throughout the service closure, R1 replacement bus service is starting every night at 7 p.m. along the entire Confederation Line, with frequent trips to provide enough space for physical distancing.
