Man suffers smoke inhalation in early morning highrise fire

One man was injured in a highrise fire early Tuesday morning 

Firefighters responded to a call reporting fire at 830 Canterbury Avenue around 4:45 a.m. 

When crews arrived, smoke could be seen coming from apartment 202, along with a slight haze on multiple floors inside the building.

Crews had the fire under control by 5 a.m. 

Firefighters removed one man from the apartment. He was taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. 

There is no word yet on a damage estimate or what caused the fire.
