Man wanted in Carlington area sexual assault

Police say a 15-year-old girl was with a small group of friends near the intersection of Laperrière Avenue and Cavan Street when she was approached and sexually assaulted by an unknown man.

Ottawa police are in need of public assistance after reports a young woman was sexually assaulted in the Carlington area last week.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA) is investigating the alleged assault, which it says happened near the intersection of Laperrière Avenue and Cavan Street, around 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 10.

Police say a 15-year-old girl was with a small group of friends when she was approached and sexually assaulted by an unknown man.

The suspect is described as:
  • Caucasian, possibly with tanned skin
  • Stocky build
  • Late 30s to early 40s
  • 5' 8" to 5' 10" tall
  • Short, curly dark hair
Police say the suspect was wearing glasses at the time of the attack and spoke English with no accent.
