Milder temperatures to start off Ottawa’s week; expected to near 30 C by end

Ottawa might start off the week with “milder” temperatures, but the rest of the week looks cool and comfortable before it climbs again to the summer temperatures we’ve become accustomed to.

Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures to hover anywhere between 17 C to 29 C, with mixtures of rain, sun and cloudiness.

Kicking off the August long weekend is a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 23 C on Saturday. Come nighttime, however, the low will drop to 12 C and come with a few showers.

There’s a 60 per cent chance the rain will continue into Sunday with a high of 17 C. The low will drop to 12 C again with the 60 per cent chance of showers continuing into the night.

The sun will come out on Monday with a high of 24 C. Nighttime skies will be clear with temperatures dropping to 13 C.

Come Tuesday, Ottawa could see a little bit of everything — a 60 per cent chance of showers with some appearances from the sun and a high of 24 C. The 60 per cent chance of showers will continue into the evening with a low of 15 C.

Wednesday is the last day of Ottawa’s mid 20s temperatures with a high of 25 C and a mix of sun and cloud. The low will dip to 15 C at night with cloudy periods.

Ottawa will see its temperatures climb back into the higher 20s on Thursday with a high of 28 C and a mix of sun and cloud. Overnight, the skies will be clear with a low of 17 C.

And Friday, it’s a bright sunny day at 29 C.

According to Environment Canada, the average high for this time of year is about 26 C with an average low of 15 C.
