November 1 marks the beginning of moustache season.

For over a decade, thousands of Canadians participate in Movember to raise funds and awareness for men's health.

"The core pillars that the charity tackles is around prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health and suicide prevention for men" explained William Bulmer, chair of the Movember Ottawa Organizing Committee.
The charity raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research and support programs that enable men to live happier, healthier and longer lives.

Bulmer adds that there are many ways to get involved at Movember's website

"It gives you the option of either growing a moustache, hosting an event to support the cause or committing to get active.

He said physical activity is one of the biggest determinants to improving these health situations.
