The National Capital Commission is looking for your help naming a new park along the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway.
The park is a nine kilometre stretch of Ottawa riverfront green space between LeBreton Flats and Mud Lake.
The NCC says the name should be inspired by a national figure who contributed to the building of Canada, an aspect of our culture like an event which has historical or cultural significance, or a local person who has contributed to Ottawa in a major way.
Your suggestions have to be sent to the NCC by Thursday, Oct. 18. Then, a 13-member committee will whittle the list down to three suggestions that will be submitted to the NCC's Board of Directors for approval.
