North Glengarry resident charged in connection to three arson investigations

The Stormont Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in relation to three arson investigations.

Between July and November 2022, officers responded to several suspicious fires. An investigation began.

 As a result, one person was arrested on Nov. 25 in relation to two structure fires and to one forestry machinery fire in the North Stormont township.

Nathan Riley, 32-years-old from North Glengarry, Ontario has been charged with three counts of arson – damage to property.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on Dec. 29, 2022.
