One man dead, another injured in west Ottawa shooting

One man is dead and another is injured after an early morning shooting in west Ottawa.

Police responded to the area of Iris Street and Woodroffe Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. on Monday, December 6, where they located one man dead and another injured from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The OPS Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation on Elmira Drive.

Homicide Unit investigators believe the shooting was targeted and not a random act.
