One man has been killed in a canoeing incident in the Upper Ottawa Valley, west of Deep River.
Two men and a dog were out in a canoe on Little Lake around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when the canoe tipped and the men fell out.
Both men were both wearing life jackets.
Merlin Bergeron, 83 of Calgary, failed to make it to shore and died at the scene.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death, however police have deemed it non-suspicious.
A 56-year-old Ottawa man and his dog made it to shore safely.
