Ontario is reporting 1,392 people in hospital with COVID-19 on May 14, a decrease from numbers revealed one day earlier.

On Friday, the province reported 1,453 COVID-19 hospitalizations.

The number of people in intensive care units (ICUs) decreased slightly today, with 156 people in ICUs compared to 168 the day before.

The province reported 1,575 new COVID-19 cases today, but access to PCR testing is limited for certain groups. The scientific director of Ontario's panel of COVID-19 advisers has said multiplying the daily case count by 10 would give a more accurate picture.

Health officials reported 11 new COVID-19 related deaths today, after reporting 18 virus related deaths yesterday.

Public Health Ontario has Ottawa Public Health reporting 37 new cases today, down from 90 reported the previous day.

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has 20 new cases, up from the previous day's 12.

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has 32 new cases, an increase from 22 one day earlier.

And the Renfrew County and District Health Unit has 15 new cases, down from 19 reported the day before.

OPH no longer releases local data over the weekends. Those statistics will be released on the following Monday.
