OPP investigating after person found with injuries dies in hospital in Hawkesbury

The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal incident on the Long Sault Bridge, near Chenail Blvd., in the town of Hawkesbury.
On Oct. 7, at approximately 5 a.m., officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the OPP, assisted by the Hawkesbury Fire Services and the Prescott-Russell Paramedic Services responded to a person found with injuries. The injured person was transported to the local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
Parts of the Long Sault Bridge and area will be closed, while the cause of the incident is investigated.
Hawkesbury OPP continues to investigate.
