One person has been killed in a collision in Edwardsburgh-Cardinal Township.
Around 4:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, members of the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Leeds and Grenville Emergency Services responded to a two-vehicle collision.
The head-on crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger car had occurred on the northbound Highway 416 on-ramp from Highway 401 eastbound.
The OPP says the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) have been called to assist with the investigation into the cause of the crash, which is ongoing.
The Highway 416 on-ramp remains closed and detours are in place.
