OPP investigating Pembroke hit-and-run involving pedestrian

The driver involved in a hit-and-run in Pembroke remains at large. 

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV in the crosswalk at the intersection of MacKay Street and Mary Street around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Police said the pedestrian did not sustain serious injuries, but the driver of the SUV took off from the scene, last seen travelling westbound on Mary Street.  

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model silver Ford Escape SUV, driven by a dark-haired female who was approximately 30-to-40-years-old.
