OPP officers seize drugs after executing search warrant

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry community street crime unit (CSCU) have charged one person after seizing illegal drugs on June 10. 

Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence on County road 36 in South Stormont. Officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, hydromorphone tablets and ecstasy. Canadian currency and items typically associated with drug trafficking were also seized.

Ryan Migneault, 30, of South Stormont was arrested and charged with: 

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
  • Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Nine counts of failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court 

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
