Gunfire in Orleans neighbourhood sends bullets through two homes

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a shooting on Duclos Avenue, in Orleans, which sent bullets flying through a pair of homes.

Gunfire was reported around 9:45 p.m., Thursday, in the neighbourhood between Innes Road and Jeanne D'Arc Boulevard.

Once on the scene, officers saw two bullet holes located in the front door of a home. Shell casings were also found outside the house.   

No injuries were reported. 

A second home, which is right behind the first home on Duclos Avenue, was also hit by one of the bullets. No one was injured in that home either. 

Investigators from the OPS' Guns and Gangs Unit believe that this incident was targeted.   

They are also asking for any witnesses of the incident to come forward.
