The Ottawa BlackJacks are set to be the first sports team in the city to welcome fans back to the stands since the start of the pandemic.

Following Friday’s announcement of Ontario entering Phase 3 of reopening, the basketball team announced that it will be able to admit up to 1,000 fans for its final three home games at the arena at TD Place on July 17, 26 and August 4.

Current BlackJacks ticket holders have an exclusive period of time to lock in their seats.

Remaining tickets will be available for purchase by the general public on Thursday, July 13 at 10 a.m. by visiting www.TheBlackJacks.ca.

Tickets start at $25.

The BlackJacks will be playing Edmonton on July 17; Saskatchewan on July 26; and Guelph on August 4.

Seating configuration has been design by OSEG in consultation with health authorities and approved by the CEBL chief medical officer, to ensure comfort and safety for everyone in the arena.

The BlackJacks will play its last game without fans on Saturday when the team plays host to the Fraser Valley Bandits.

Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
