Ottawa driver charged with impaired driving, other offences

A 26-year-old Ottawa resident has been charged with impaired driving and other offences after Renfrew Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a suspect impaired driver.
The incident took place on Dec. 4, at approximately 6:20 p.m. The vehicle was located travelling on Highway 17 in McNab-Braeside Township.
As a result of a traffic stop, Dawson Lee Wilkinson was charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Impaired driving
- Novice driver refuse to provide breath sample
- Having care and control of a motor vehicle with open container of liquor
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on Jan. 18, 2023.
