Ottawa fire crews rescue cat from Greely house fire

Fire crews rescued a cat from a house fire in Greely over the weekend.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Ottawa Fire Services responded to several 911 calls reporting black smoke coming from a bungalow on Meadow Drive, near Bank Street.
A working fire was declared as crews were nearing the scene, and an offensive attack was initiated.
The fire was under control by 4:40 p.m. and a loss stop was declared by 5 p.m.
There was no one home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
A fire investigator responded to the scene to probe the cause of the blaze.
