Ottawa man facing a dozen charges in connection to Orléans explosion

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has laid arson charges in connection to a gas leak explosion in Orléans last month. 

The explosion happened on the morning of Monday, Feb. 13, on Blossom Pass Terrace, near Tenth Line Road, leaving 30 families without a place to stay. 

Kody Troy Crosby, 35, of Ottawa, faces the following 12 charges:

  • Criminal negligence causing bodily harm (four counts)
  • Arson- Explosion causing bodily harm (four counts)
  • Arson- Explosion disregard for human life
  • Arson- Explosion causing property damage
  • Break and enter and commit place other than dwelling (two counts)
