The Montréal Alliance of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have added some height to their roster with the signing of Ottawa native Abdul Mohamed, the team announced on April 22.

The six-foot-seven forward has played his last three seasons in the NCAA's Division I. In the 2019-2020 season, Mohamed played with the University of North Texas before moving to Montana State University from 2020 to 2022. During those three seasons, he averaged 6.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.

“I am very fortunate to start my professional career in Canada, for a great organization in Montréal,” said Mohamed in a release issued by the team. “I look forward to the season ahead, and I can’t wait to get to work with the coaching staff and my teammates.”
