Man arrested in Vanier homicide

Ottawa police have taken one man into custody in relation to the homicide of 55-year-old Gaetan Jolin.

On Wednesday, February 20, Jolin was found badly beaten at a home on Jolliet Avenue in Vanier.

Jolin later succumbed to those injuries in hospital hours later.

Michael Leduc, 43, has been charged with second degree murder, and appeared in court Sunday morning.

Ottawa's Major Crimes unit has taken over the investigation and is asking anyone with information to call 613-236-1222, extension 5493 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
