Ottawa Police have identified two Bayshore robbery suspects as youths

Police initially said the two were men in their 20's.

Ottawa police have now identified two male robbery suspects, as youths. 

Officers say the two walked into a store at Bayshore Mall on December 12, just before 7:30 p.m., and were seen shoplifting. 

When confronted by a security guard, one of the suspects flashed a knife and assaulted the guard, who suffered minor injuries.  

Police initially said the two were men in their early 20's, but are now saying they are both under 18. 

Anyone with information is being asked to call Ottawa Police's Robbery Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5116.
