Ottawa Public Health is reporting seven new COVID-19 cases in the city, while active cases remain the same at 50.

In its Monday report, OPH says cases of the virus in the city are at zero across the board while new and ongoing outbreaks have been at zero for almost two weeks.

On Sunday, OPH reported five cases in the city.

The total number of cases since the pandemic now stands at 27,827.

There are no new deaths to report, keeping the local death toll at 593.

Ottawa’s weekly COVID-19 incidence rate is now at 4.6 per 100,000 cases, which is up from yesterday’s 4.1.

And residents tested for the virus have been positive 0.5 per cent of the time.

Ontario will not release its COVID-19 daily update on Monday for the Civic holiday. Those numbers will be presented Tuesday.
