Police arrest Lowertown shooting suspect

Noel Perez, 26, was wanted in connection with the December shooting of two men on Dalhousie Street.

Ottawa police have arrested a man wanted in connection with the shooting of two men in Lowertown late last year.

Two men were shot and wounded on Dalhousie Street, December 18. Their injuries were serious, but not life-threatening. They have since been released from hospital.

Police issued an appeal for public assistance in locating Noel Perez, 26, in connection with the shooting. He was arrested in Ottawa the next day, Tuesday, January 25, by Ottawa Police and the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit.

Perez was due to appear in court on Wednesday, January 26.
