UPDATE: Police asking drivers to avoid section of Merivale Road because of water main break

Roads have since reopened, police confirm.

Motorists are being asked to avoid a section of Merivale Road because of a water main break.

Police said Friday that the break is between Burris Land and Baseline Road.

Only one lane in either direction will be accessible for the rest of Friday while remain are going on.

Police say it would be better for motorists to avoid the area altogether.
