Police seek witnesses to weekend crash

A passenger in the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and the 24-year-old driver was arrested at the scene.

Police are seeking witnesses to a single-vehicle crash that happened in Barrhaven, early Sunday morning.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the scene on Merivale Road, at Queen Anne Crescent.

A passenger in the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and the 24-year-old driver was arrested at the scene. 

The driver is due in court Monday, facing charges including criminal negligence causing bodily harm and impaired driving causing bodily harm.
