The Ottawa Police Service is looking for a male suspect involved in the assault of a 13-year-old boy in the Manor Park area on Sept. 20.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) section is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who physically and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy earlier this month.

The incident took place on Sept. 20 in the Manor Park area, between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Hemlock Road west of St. Laurent Boulevard.

The victim was walking when an unknown man approached him and said something that didn't make sense before the suspect started touching the boy in a sexual manner. When the boy resisted, he was pushed to the ground. After a brief struggle, the victim was able to free himself and flee the area.

The suspect is described as a Black male, in his late teens with a prominent overbite. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red jacket, green hat, blue shoes and a white and black t-shirt.

Investigators believe there could be other victims. Anyone with information is asked to call the OPS SACA unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5944.
